Routine visual checks are done daily by the operator, while a competent person must carry out a periodic inspection at least every 12 months. A comprehensive “major” inspection is required at 10 years of service and every five years after that under AS 2550.1 Cranes, Hoists and Winches – Safe Use.

Our inspectors examine the boom, chassis, winches, hooks, hydraulics, steering, brakes, electrical systems, load‑moment indicator, decals and structural components. Operational tests are run and findings are independently reviewed by a third‑party engineer before certification.

Yes. Once all items pass, we issue a signed inspection report and compliance certificate recognised by WorkSafe WA and aligned with AS 2550 and CICA guidance notes.

Absolutely. Our mobile service units travel statewide, bringing calibrated test equipment and qualified technicians to mines, ports, construction sites and workshops across Western Australia.

A standard annual inspection generally takes half a day. Major 10‑year inspections can take several days, depending on crane size and condition. We plan work in stages to minimise downtime and can arrange out‑of‑hours shifts where practical.

Please have your crane logbook, maintenance history, load test certificates and any previous engineering reports available. These documents help us verify service life and target any high‑wear areas.

We give you a clear, prioritised list of issues with repair options and cost estimates. Minor faults can often be rectified on the spot; larger repairs can be scheduled in our Henderson workshop or completed on‑site by arrangement. Your crane will not be certified until critical items are resolved, ensuring legal compliance and safe operation.
